Story: 

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the “World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game,” , Stern pinball players worldwide are embarking on an epic and thrilling journey into the Forgotten Realms, where they’ll encounter legendary foes such as a red dragon, a gelatin cube, a Mimic, the Lich Sammaster, the Beholder Xanathar, and an Owlbear, as well as explore locations in Faerûn such as Arabel and Westgate. 

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The “Tyrant’s Eye” pinball machines are available in Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models and feature artwork by prolific artist Vincent Proce, music by world-renowned composer Cris Velasco, and the voices of a talented cast, including Michael Dorn, Kevin Smith, Luke Gygax, Chris Prynoski, Brendon Small, Gerard Way, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Marisha Ray, Anthony Carboni, and Mica Burton. In Stern’s “DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: The Tyrant’s Eye” pinball machines, players take on the roles of select members of the Dragonshield Guild as they attempt to defeat the Dragon Queen Tiamat, who is plotting to regain power and thereby unleash the War of the Dragons, in which Xanathar, Balinor, and Sammaster battle for supremacy.

Players are immersed in the game’s fantasy world beneath the glass playfield, where pinball and the cult classic series merge in an unprecedented way. Meet Rath the Relentless, the red dragon—the most advanced animatronic mech in the pinball machine—who intelligently responds to players’ actions with multi-axis movements and features omnidirectional impact sensors. Voiced by the legendary Michael Dorn, players attempt to defeat Rath the Relentless with pinball balls and steal his treasure by hitting the 3-bank target. When Rath the Relentless breathes his mighty fire, multiple pinball balls shoot out of his mouth—but be on your guard. Players can activate a metal shield between the flippers to not only defend against attacks but also support shots on the playfield. Enjoy mysterious and exciting features as you navigate hidden passages, encounter an electromagnetically powered gelatinous cube that freezes the pinball, and explore dynamic dungeon levels accessible via a disappearing trapdoor on the playfield. Other features include Fizmo’s Shop, where players can purchase unique items, a treasure chest from which Mimic monsters escape, and other secrets waiting to be discovered. 

Leave things to chance as players shape the course of the game’s campaign through shots and decisions, aiming for different story endings. Every path is unique for players, ranging from characters and minor details to weekly items and more; once the game campaign is completed, additional characters are unlocked.
