The Profi-Line shafts from Karella are made from a special polycarbonate/plastic mixture. They are somewhat lighter than aluminium and more elastic and provide excellent flight characteristics. However, it is important to know that shafts are wear material and can break at the thread when dropped. Likewise, a hit from a metal tip can damage them. Therefore, it is always advisable to have a few shafts in reserve. The Karella XT shafts with the common 2BA small thread sit precisely and perfectly in the barrel. They are equipped with an additional stainless steel protection ring at the end of the slot, which encloses the shaft and additionally ensures a secure hold of all common strengths of flights.
